I am starting a new challenge and can't wait to implement what I learn!
The Life of a Stay at home Mom
This blog is intended to keep our friends and family up to date on our lives here in Yoakum, and to hopefully motivate and help others that may need it.

1 John Study
Monday I started a bible study of 1 John, using the e-book provided by www.goodmorninggirls.org. Through this opportunity I have meet some wonderful women, who not only study the bible but pray for me and each other. I must admit I was skeptical when I set up my Facebook group page(www.facebook.com/groups/girlsofgod), I figured I would only have my friends be a part of it, I am proud to say that we now have 36 women of all ages and backgrounds. I am so excited to see what God has already shown us, and can't wait to see what else he has in store for us!

Life in a small town
It's been a while since I updated my blog, life has gotten in the way as it most often does. Kenneth, Marisol and I no longer live in College Station, we now live in Kenneth's home town of Yoakum. Adjusting to life in a town where everyone has known each other since they were in diapers is definitely a new experience for me. I find myself telling Kenneth that he has to introduce people to me, because unlike him I don't know everybody. We are still homeschooling Marisol and plan to continue, it seems to work for all of us.

Aggie Land
Hey Everyone! I must admit when Ken and I first came to check out College Station it seemed like we were in a different country. I have since come to enjoy the town and the friendships I am establishing. The people here seem a lot nicer and more laid back ( I guess they have to be, it being a college town). I am even thinking about transferring to A&M, sorry again all you Longhorn's fans. Kenneth and I have both decided we would not mind living here for the rest of our lives. Which is perfect since we both hate moving=) Marisol is thriving out here as well, and we have fun learning at home. It's nice to know that I don't have to have all the locks on my doors set all day, I can actually leave my door open and not have to worry about someone killing me. I can let Marisol play in the back yard and not have to be paranoid, and the best thing is that I don't have some young teenager thinking we all want to hear their music blaring as they go down the street. We will still be making trips back "home" occasionally but this is starting to feel like our real "home".

Life In College Station
Kenneth, Marisol, and I are adjusting to our new life in College Station. Kenneth loves his job, Marisol enjoys having me teach her at home, and I am glad to have a break between classes.
College Station is treating us well, have already met some great people. Can't wait to meet more!
I am posting pictures of Marisol enjoying her new backyard and new room complete with new sheets she picked out all by herself.

Marisol's First Performance
Marisol and her cheerleading team had their first performance on Nov.1. The performance was held at the Arneson River Theater here in San Antonio. I hope you enjoy this video, all the kid's were so cute, I just wish we could have recorded all the performances.

Marisol's very first Day of School

Today was Marisol's very first day of school, and no I didn't cry. I was however a little sad because she didn't seem to be upset about me leaving her there. Kenneth and I both took her today. It seems like just yesterday that we were awaiting her arrival into our family. Starting to see why women decide to have another child when their first one starts going to school. I can't wait to see how her first day went..and I'm sure I will hear all about it! =)
